Social Features

Softbooks, follows, messages, and privacy

Publish a Softbook

Softbooks are the social layer of One2One. Open compose, write your post, add images or video if you want, or create a quiz Softbook. You can attach a course so Enroll appears on the post. People can like, comment, bookmark, and share.

Softbooks vs courses

• Softbook — a single post in the feed (tip, explanation, quiz, clip) • Course — ordered sections and lessons with progress Use a Softbook to teach one idea and point to a course when you have a full syllabus.

Follow tutors and classmates

Follow from a profile or from a Softbook. Following helps their public posts show up for you. Unfollow the same way. Blocking is stronger than unfollow — see Privacy below.

Direct messages

Open Messages, start a conversation from a profile, or reply in an existing thread. In Settings you can allow messages from everyone, followers only, or nobody. If someone cannot message you, they may be blocked or your privacy setting may exclude them.

Anonymous messages

Anonymous notes go to people you mutually follow. They expire after 24 hours. Recipients see the message, not your name. View counts show how many people opened it. Use this for honest questions — not harassment. Abuse can still be reported and may lead to enforcement.

Notifications

You can get in-app and (on supported devices) push alerts for comments, likes, follows, messages, enrollments, and course updates. Turn types on or off in Settings → Notifications.

Privacy and safety

• Messaging privacy — everyone, followers, or nobody • Block a user from their profile or a chat — they should not be able to message you • Report Softbooks, comments, or users that break the Community Guidelines See also the Privacy Policy.
