One2One ("One2One," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use one2one.cc, our mobile apps, and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
One2One operates a social learning platform for students and tutors in Ghana and beyond. Privacy inquiries: privacy@one2one.cc.
2. Information We Collect
Account and profile
• Name, email, username, and authentication identifiers
• Profile details you choose to provide (bio, photo, study avatar, school or learning goals)
• Phone number when used for wallet verification or account recovery
Content and communications
• Softbooks, comments, messages, course materials, uploads, and other User Content
• LAMLA chat messages and study-session context you choose to send
• Reports, support tickets, and feedback
Usage and device
• Pages and screens viewed, features used, searches, enrollments, lesson progress, and interactions
• Device type, browser or app version, operating system, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP
• Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (see Section 9)
Payments
• Transaction references, amounts, status, and One2One Wallet / Payment ID details processed through partners such as Moolre
• We do not store Mobile Money PINs or complete payment card numbers on our servers
From third parties
• Sign-in providers (for example, Google) may share name, email, and profile photo subject to your consent with that provider
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
• Provide, maintain, personalize, and secure the Service
• Create and manage your account
• Process enrollments, wallet top-ups, and tutor payouts
• Power learning recommendations, Continue Learning, and LAMLA study help
• Send service notifications, security alerts, and support replies
• Enforce our Terms, Community Guidelines, and Content Policy
• Analyze usage to improve performance and develop features
• Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Bases
Where required, we process information based on: performance of a contract with you; legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service; compliance with legal obligations (including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) where it applies); and consent where we ask for it (for example, optional marketing).
5. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
• Service providers that help us operate the Service (hosting, authentication, video delivery, analytics, email, payments)
• Tutors or learners when needed to deliver a course you enrolled in or to resolve a dispute you initiate
• Law enforcement, regulators, or courts when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
• Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy
Key partners include Supabase (authentication and database), Google (optional sign-in), Moolre (Mobile Money in Ghana), and video infrastructure used for lesson and Softbook playback.
6. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than Ghana, including where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to apply appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
7. Retention
We retain personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. When no longer required, we delete or anonymize it according to our retention practices.
8. LAMLA
LAMLA conversations are used to generate study help for you and to operate and improve that feature. Do not paste examination-board confidential materials or other people's personal data into chats. We may review flagged conversations to enforce safety and academic-integrity rules.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as appearance), and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling some cookies may limit functionality. The mobile app uses equivalent on-device storage.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use a strong password and protect your device.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
To exercise these rights, use in-app Settings where available or email privacy@one2one.cc. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@one2one.cc and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Marketing
We may send product updates and promotional messages where permitted. You can opt out of non-essential marketing using the unsubscribe link or by contacting privacy@one2one.cc. Transactional messages (security, billing, enrollments) may still be sent.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material updates will be posted on the Service or sent by email where appropriate.
